My Plan for this final project is many things, we started off on the 3rd of may by getting together into 2 individual groups. My group having Rosie, Taylor, Julie, Nataya, Megan and Callum in and we have been asked to complete the task of creating our own gig without the help of anyone else.

that includes setup, equipment, rehearsals, time organisation, planning, and all around just creating a successful gig. I am going to be a sound checking engineer for this as well as performing a few songs. Those songs being:

•Nirvana – something in the way.

•Gary Jules – Mad World.

and we are still working out who’s going to perform what. we have had discussions and group meetips.

we had one arrangement on the 3rd of may to create a gig called “90s – naughties” meaning anything within the 90s-00s. We discussed which songs we want to perform and done some research on when those songs were released to make sure they fit the theme of the gig. We discussed which roles each of us would be taking but didn’t quite reach our aim. We worked out which songs and who’s performing them but we hadn’t quite discussed lighting, equipment etc…

22nd May:

what we have been doing is going through what roles we’re going to have when we aren’t performing. Like, for example, I’m a sound checker, so I will be checking if the sound is okay, and I also want to check if everyone has the right equipment and resources(e.g: I’m going to need a piano, amp and microphone). We have also been discussing what everyone will be using and whether our group knows what songs we’re doing and praparation. I’m going to be learning a new piece of chords on piano for Rosie, she’s doing “If I die young”. so I’m going to have to rehearse for that.

 

Basically here we can see our band rehearsing for the gig. We have all arranged to meet up, and practice the songs we decided to perform together, see how they sound and make progress to see which ones we definitely want in the gig and what sounds the best. We also had a discussion on the date of the gig and that will be the 13th of June 2019 at 1:15pm, at lunch time for everyone to see. It was a lovely rehearsal and quite frankly it seemed to have went successfully. We are now just waiting to see the time setting of which songs we will put in place and who’s going to perform first, and how we’re going to finish the gig off.
